Goodreads Summary:Savannah Colbert has never known why she's so hated by the kids of the Clann. Nor can she deny her instinct to get close to Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman. Especially when she recovers from a strange illness and the attraction becomes nearly irresistible. It's as if he's a magnet, pulling her gaze, her thoughts, even her dreams. Her family has warned her to have nothing to do with him, or any members of the Clann. But when Tristan is suddenly everywhere she goes, Savannah fears she's destined to fail. For years, Tristan has been forbidden to even speak to Savannah Colbert. Then Savannah disappears from school for a week and comes back…different, and suddenly he can't stay away. Boys seem intoxicated just from looking at her. His own family becomes stricter than ever. And Tristan has to fight his own urge to protect her, to be near her no matter the consequences….ReviewAhhhh...how to be respectful without completely reaming this book and it's stupid, STUPID characters. As of this very moment, this is my worst read of 2011. There are a few others that came close, but not quite. This book was a did not finish for me. Now usually I do not review do not finish books. But I've decided that that policy isn't really working for me any longer. There is always a reason why I choose to DNF a book. And I feel that I should probably state that reason. That being said, this will be a much shorter review, because I'm going to state my reason and then just be done with it.I don't mind a small amount of cheese in my books. It's kind of common in YA books and I have gotten somewhat used to it. But there is a limit and this book crossed it and then some. Nothing in this book felt natural. All the characters felt like characters, the plot was wacky and stupid, and everything was cliche. There wasn't a bit of originality in the writing and oh was it ever a shame. This book reads like a "What not to do if you want to be a good writer" manual. Not kidding. More reasons? Cheesy dialogue. Slow-pace. Predictable. Flat characters. I could go on and on, but you should know that I hated this book. HATED it. I kept hoping that there was a reason for everything that made me dislike it and that it would eventually get better. It didn't. It got worse. I can say that I don't remember a lot of details. But that's because I blocked it out. The second I put it down I made myself forget about it because my blood-pressure was high and I was steaming mad. Oh, and one more thing. As a Twilight fan, this was the worst Twilight wannabe (and there are a lot), that I have ever read. Yuck.
