Yes it really was that bad. I didn't completely finish it, so I'm not going to do a in-depth review, but I just want you to know this.The characters were flat. They were all the same character with different names. The dialogue was ridiculous and stupid. The writing was amateurish and unbelievable. The storyline had potential. If someone else had written it. And the funny thing is, Ms. Duff had an author helping her write. Regardless of who did most of the writing, the book was terrible. It was corny. I hate when I can't finish a book. But there are simply too many books out there to read to waste my time with one that I'm not enjoying. It was awful.
